A Blockchain based Framework for Property Registration System in E-Governance

By Siddhartha Sen Sripati Mukhopadhyay Sunil Karforma

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijieeb.2021.04.03, Pub. Date: 8 Aug. 2021

In recent years, the most cutting edges and promising technology emerged is Blockchain. It has huge potential to impact various industries. The append-only distributed ledger technology (DLT) and the consensus mechanism of Blockchain can also change the dimension of E-Governance. The Electronic Property Record (EPR) systems of government have challenges like data security, integrity, secure storage of data and automated service delivery. In this paper, we discuss how Smart Contract based Blockchain technology can effectively be used to address the challenges of EPR System over the existing available systems. We propose a Smart Contract based permissioned blockchain framework which is an innovative approach, especially in the Electronic Property Registration domain of E-Governance in India. The objective of our proposed framework is firstly to implement Smart Contract solving the security problems like confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and secondly to ensure secure storage of electronic records by defining access rules for the stakeholders of the proposed framework. Moreover, we address the issues of single-point-of-failure, data inter-operability between the organizations involved for sharing and verification of property information among various stakeholders.

Studies on ICT Usage in the Academic CampusUsing Educational Data Mining

By Ajay Auddy Sripati Mukhopadhyay

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijmecs.2014.06.02, Pub. Date: 8 Jun. 2014

Inthe era of competition, change and complexity, innovation in teaching and learning practices in higher education sector has become unavoidable criteria. One of the biggest challenges that higher education system faces today is to assessthe services provided through Information and Communication Technology(ICT) facilities installed in the campus. This paper studies the responses collected through survey on ICT, in the campusof the University of Burdwan, among the students and research scholarswith the help ofan effective data mining methodology - Variable Consistency Dominance-based Rough Set Approach (VC-DRSA) model to extract meaningful knowledge to improve the quality of managerial decisions in this sphere. It is an extended version of Dominance Rough Set Approach (DRSA) and is applied here to generate a set of recommendations that can help the university to improvise the existing services and augmenting the boundaries of ICT in future development.

Modelling Online Admission System: A Multi-Agent Based Approach

By Ajay Auddy Sripati Mukhopadhyay

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijmecs.2014.05.04, Pub. Date: 8 May 2014

We have proposed an integrated Web-based online admission system using multi-agent system and Web-based technologies. Every year, most of the Universities have to organise centralised admission for under-graduate courses of its affiliated colleges. The centralised online admission system is a major reform initiative in education sector to bring about greater transparency, efficiency and accountability in complicated and time-consuming admission process. It encompasses every institution under the university to accomplish the admission process where potential student community is involved. As a result of various agents’ involvement in the whole process, coordination and communication among them are the core issue which can be efficiently handled in a multi-agent environment. Thus dynamic behaviours of the agents reveal better results. Multi-agent systems represent a new paradigm for the development of distributed software. Preliminary implementation issues for this system have been discussed with Java Agent Development Environment Technology, a java-based software platform that provides middleware-layer functionalities which facilitate the development of agent-based application, at the end of the paper.

Modeling of Multi-Agent Oriented learning System for Impaired Students with JADE

By Shiladitya Pujari Sripati Mukhopadhyay

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijisa.2012.12.07, Pub. Date: 8 Nov. 2012

In this research paper we presented a model of multi-agent system based learning environment for physically impaired students. The learning system is modeled on the basis of both centralized as well as distributed multi-agent planning. The entire learning system keeps track of the type of impairment the student has and mode of interaction of the environment is set depending on the type of impairment(s). The system consists of agents which are developed using JADE agent technology that helps the students with disabilities to continue studies from their own places.

Petri Net: A Tool for Modeling and Analyze Multi-agent Oriented Systems

By Shiladitya Pujari Sripati Mukhopadhyay

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijisa.2012.10.11, Pub. Date: 8 Sep. 2012

Analysis and proper assessment of multi-agent system properties are very much important. In this paper, we discussed about methodologies for modeling, analysis and design of multi-agent oriented system with the help of Petri net. A Multi-agent system can be considered as a discrete-event dynamic system and Petri nets are used as a modeling tool to assess the structural properties of the multi-agent system. Petri net provides an assessment of the interaction properties of the multi-agent.
